It's time for my favorite nonfiction read-aloud of the year! 3rd grade read a positive biography of Anne Carroll Moore last week, and now we'll read the one in which she's the villain.
It's a great lesson in why it's important to use multiple sources when conducting research.
And, on top of that, Margaret Wise Brown was a very interesting person, and her biography is always a huge hit, even if we haven't already learned about ACM.
The @APSHoward computer science class is out of this world! 🚀🤖 They've been coding and building their own battle bots. The level of skill and excitement in the room is electric! ⚡️@APSInstructTech@mrsjones2142
2nd grade is building 3D models of towns, and each class has such a unique approach. One class has a roller coaster, one is all skyscrapers, one is mostly a pool and trees, and one class is designing their buildings to have solar panels.
Things I have gathered/purchased for STEAM challenges this year, but it gets weirder: Q-tips, pipe cleaners, skewers, Keva planks, plastic cups, rocks, fake cockroaches.

Fingers and toes crossed that my library system on Libby adds children's books for the first time in 3 weeks today. I am withering away with no new reading material.
1st grade's Perez and Martina inspired STEAM Challenge involves fake cockroaches, so I numbered them and made a parking lot because I don't want to be freaking out about fake cockroaches all week 🤣
