With nutrition being our current science unit, I went to the exotic fruit section of @HarrisTeeter and picked up a passion fruit, a dragon fruit and a star fruit. This is the dragon fruit. It was—okay kind of tasteless @PortersNeck

My kiddos were using some fraction manipulatives to learn about equivalent fractions. Seeing them figure out on their own what is equal to each fraction is so fulfilling 💜@PortersNeck @eureka_math #fourthgrade

Back in November my students at @PortersNeck had to disguise a turkey & wrote a story about them trying to avoid being eaten for thanksgiving.This sweet student made her turkey a @dominos delivery driver. Quite creative!Now where’s that pizza?We’ve been waiting since November 🤪

Before Thanksgiving we used cranberries to talk about states of matter. We learned there were air pockets in cranberries so they float! We even watched them dance in soda! #sciencerocks #fourthgrade @PortersNeck
