I'm a PhD student at @UniofOxford and I think I'm living in a fairytale :-) Foxes playing around in the snow at Magdalen College this morning — absolutely magical!

Evening, I’m on #TomorrowsPapersToday duty this evening. As an experiment (no guarantees as to whether we will do it every night) I’ll also post on Bl**S** to see if it is worth the extra work. Same handle

Arsenal were the moral winners. Magnificent performance against 12-man City whose MoM was Michael Oliver.

Just caught up on the 1995 film Braveheart (missed it first time round). It was terrible. However, good to learn that William Wallace (Mel Gibson in 1st century AD woad) fathered Edward III. Well played. I'm surprised no historians have picked up on this 🤨

In an interesting footnote, I see that the film was written by Randall Wallace - obviously a direct descendant of Edward III

My Dad, marking 50 years - yes, that’s half an actual century - of working at the BBC. Talk about setting the bar high.

In 1982, BBC journalist Laurie Margolis gave #BBCPM one its biggest exclusives ever - he broke the news that the Falklands had been invaded by Argentina. He explains to @EvanHD how he was able to confirm the invasion by intercepting radio signals from fishermen on the islands.

Number of factors contributed to the facing down of the Far-Right last night. And I suspect one of them was the deterrent effect of the swift, hard sentences that started to be handed down. This was billed as Keir Starmer’s first major test as Prime Minister. And he’s passed it.

UK government should ditch X for Bluesky and all the journos will follow. Ignorant Musk needs to put a sock in it.

Oh no! Another piano atrocity. This one's on fire.🔥 I'm still traumatised by the first one that got soaked. Not a good night for pianos 🎹☹️ #OpeningCeremony
