PAWS & PAGES is a free literacy initiative where students can read to sheltered dogs by phone helping children strengthen reading skills while bringing comfort to animals in shelters.
Open to Elementary, Middle & High School students.
Middle & High School students can also earn community service hours with a letter/certificate provided!

If Tier 1 is truly personalized with voice, choice, and real-time responsiveness, fewer students should need intervention at all. Tiers then become less about placement and more about precision, relationships, and meeting needs in the moment.
This shift moves us from reacting to student struggles → to designing for student success from the start.

When we lead with purpose, not performance, we build trust and create spaces where students feel seen. Absolutely love this! Proud not to be just an Alum of Long Branch but an Employee of Long Branch! Love this idea of allowing Elementary students to showcase their culinary skills.
Long Branch elementary students showcased their culinary creativity in the Future Chefs Challenge, sponsored by Sodexo.
Congrats to Gregory Elementary student Rosa, whose dish Crazy Corn was selected as the district winner and will now advance to the national competition.

“One size fits all” in education assumes that every student learns the same way, at the same pace, with the same needs and we know that’s simply not true.
When we apply a one-size-fits-all approach, some students may succeed, but many are left unseen.
Reflecting on this, the real question becomes: Who is being served by the way learning is currently designed and who is being left out?

HS Girls Group students were given the opportunity and space to lead discussion and they chose to focus on BOUNDARIES.
