Of everything I have learned in streaming, it's this: You cannot be a friend to everyone online. You're setting yourself and them up for disappointment. Parasocial relationships get weird for a reason. You cannot extend yourself to everyone, nor depend on everyone.

...It's fine to only consider people acquaintances. Including those you may game with every day. It's fine to be a good person, great in fact. But do realize that a boundary to prevent over-access to you is okay. You can be appreciative of them without obligation to them.

Keep in mind someone dropping 5 gifted could be an hour of work for them, if not more. Being grateful for someone subscribing to your channel themselves is something to be very proud of. People have their own lives and families to take care of.. yet they’ve chose to support you in anyway they CAN.
