First graders made DIY Ball Drop Games! We’re all about using recyclables and making games over here with just a few weeks left! Learners created and made their games and then got to practice playing them. The whole idea is to collect the fewest beads possible! @robshouston
Mindfulness jars are so enticing and relaxing! No better way to end the year then swirling these bottles and watching them settle. We also talked about why glycerin and water don’t mix and how these bottles of wonder work! #stem#makerspace#science#art@robshouston
Third graders worked hard to create a board game that taught others about their Greek Character! They designed everything from the objective of their game to the game pieces and Rule book! Today they got to celebrate by playing their games with their parents! @robshouston
First graders have been begging me all year to make whatever they wanted! Last week their dreams came true! Using anything around the room, learners came up with their own creations. We have a puppet stand, a mailbox, a dog, and a guitar! @robshouston
“M” in STEAM! First graders created Mandala spinners! We talked about different shapes and symmetry when making these beautiful products and how they always have a concentric (circular) nature. @robshouston
We’ve all heard of the classic egg-drop challenge, so here’s a twist. Fourth graders are working on a crash test race car! Learners must design a successful car that when pushed down a ramp will protect their egg from cracking! Next week we test! @robshouston
