When I retweeted this in May, I had done all this but hoped never to put it to use. This week, my students & I spent close to 50 minutes in a closet waiting for help because of a HOAX. Unfortunately, the police with guns were REAL, the hurt & fear was REAL, the trauma was REAL!

This should never, NEVER be part of what we live with in schools. This should NOT be what my students learned this weekโฆ.no student should ever have to learn this lesson. We must do better for our students, for all of us.
