Your reminder that the top 1% evades $163 billion in taxes each year — but instead of garnishing their wages and withholding their tax refunds, they get more tax breaks and the elimination of the teams at the IRS who investigate tax evasion. This is what an oligarchy looks like.
BREAKING: Trump's Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt just said: “The government can and will collect defaulted federal student loan debt by withholding tax refunds, federal pensions, and even their wages.”

Just when you think they can't go any lower- HHS dismantles the Advisory Committee on Newborn Screening. Make no mistakes. This is catastrophic. And I won't attempt to sugar coat it any longer. HHS is putting the health of our children at stake. medpagetoday.com/special-rep…

Society of what
Honored to speak on a panel hosted by the Society of Gas Lighters in NYC to discuss how Ohio’s forward-thinking energy policies are attracting record investment and driving economic growth back home. The Midwest is leading—Ohio is proving it.

An awful lot of the anti-Semite @SJPOSU “Long Live the Intifada” losers that march from @OhioState down to the Statehouse are just like Khalil. They might want to get their bags packed before the next one. 👀

The administration is attempting to eliminate the union rights of federal employees across the government. We will vigorously challenge yesterday’s illegal order and fight on behalf of union members across the nation.

This just in: Ohio Governor cheers on the President as he harms Ohio students & public schools.
Today, I visited the White House in support of President Trump’s proposal to return education back to the states. My statement:

BREAKING: CEA joins teachers and parents from State Rep. @BrianStewartOH’s House District to demand that he do his job and fully fund schools! The school districts Stewart represents face a total of $76,000,000 in cuts. Unacceptable. Our Schools, and our futures, are #InOurHands!

If you think that this regime is just going to try to move education funds into new agencies without rolling back rules and protections for kids, or without losing crucial dollars because DOGE says so, you haven’t been paying attention to the last few weeks.

As seen in other states, the SC voucher fund has insufficient accountability & oversight. So far: - $1.5 million sent to Florida-based company called Class Wallet to administer. - $1.5 million spent on 4,387 computers. We don’t know what type of computers are being bought or if they are being returned for money or credit. - Homeschooled children have received vouchers, which is illegal under voucher law. How will these funds be recovered? - One voucher recipient was attending a school in a different state. - Who are the 453 tutors? What are their qualifications? All of these issues with just 1,845 vouchers. Imagine if we did have 10,000 vouchers.
Up to 1,000 ineligible SC students booted from voucher program, report finds scdailygazette.com/2025/03/0… by @sky_latte_

OK, I'm going to try to make this simple. Measles is VERY, VERY contagious. More contagious than flu. Or Covid. Or RSV. When vaccination rates drop, measles can spread like wildfire. Some children will get very sick. A few will die. That's why it is important.

A crucial article. Ohio politicians often claim they've been increasing school funding, but that claim ignores reality Public schools, which 90% of #Ohio kids attend, have been starved while the state funnels $$ to unregulated charter/private schools statenews.org/2025-02-19/dew…

McMahon goes on record saying private schools funded by taxpayer vouchers—including a federal voucher scheme—do and should have the right to turn children away if those children don’t fit those private schools’ needs. It’s not parent choice. It’s the school’s choice.

.@SenAshleyMoody I know you think that dig at brave educators speaking up today was cute. However, have you ever asked them if it’s difficult to “maintain calm” during shooter drills (& shootings), under constant attacks to public schools, their students & profession, etc.?
26
.@SenatorBanks - the educators you frame as being “disruptive” in a hearing to confirm a candidate that threatens the future of our students are showing a brave commitment to students that I wish elected officials like you would learn from.

To be clear: If you had listened to educators as they’ve begged for more support & taken their expertise to heart, they would not need to disrupt to be heard. (And, re: disruptions, please read about the Civil Rights Movement. Ask a teacher for help if it’s confusing for you.)
