If you think that this regime is just going to try to move education funds into new agencies without rolling back rules and protections for kids, or without losing crucial dollars because DOGE says so, you haven’t been paying attention to the last few weeks.

As seen in other states, the SC voucher fund has insufficient accountability & oversight. So far: - $1.5 million sent to Florida-based company called Class Wallet to administer. - $1.5 million spent on 4,387 computers. We don’t know what type of computers are being bought or if they are being returned for money or credit. - Homeschooled children have received vouchers, which is illegal under voucher law. How will these funds be recovered? - One voucher recipient was attending a school in a different state. - Who are the 453 tutors? What are their qualifications? All of these issues with just 1,845 vouchers. Imagine if we did have 10,000 vouchers.
