Our students need recess, unstructured play, physical education, all the Arts, along with extracurricular activities. That's how we make their social/emotional health a priority. Which will also improve academics!
First Grade went on their very first field trip today. To say they were excited would be an understatement. Thanks to BrookHollow Farm for a wonderful morning! @ApshawaSchool
Special thanks to the the members of the Character club who came to our room to read us a story and teach us some mindful breathing. What a great experience for our first graders. @ApshawaSchool @WestMilfordSupt @daniel_novak_WM @DrMcQuaidWM #SELday
Dreaming of sunnier days with our Luau theme and wishing our very own @colleenleslie24 the happiest of birthdays. Thank you for all you do Mrs. Leslie. We couldn't do it without you. @ApshawaSchool
Thank you to the WM Football players for coming to Apshawa's first grade for Punt, Pass, and Read and even signing some autographs. Go Highlanders! @ApshawaSchool@WMAthleticDept#wmhometownpride
Making the most of this cold Earth Day. First we planted vegetables and flowers and then we germinated seeds in a bag! What a fun way for kids to view how seeds transform into plants right before our eyes.. #MakeEveryDayEarthDay@ApshawaSchool@WMScienceIA
Happy birthday to my first grade partner. I wouldn't want to dress in crazy costumes on theme days with anyone else. Love you! @LauraSeltenrich@ApshawaSchool
