Here are this term's sensory stories for our theme of 'To Infinity and Beyond'. We have chosen the books Whatever Next! and Aliens Love Underpants. Our focus is to develop communication through speech, sign, and symbols, along with early reading skills and sensory exploration. ๐

Today, we had some mark making and writing activities around The Fox and the Star. We warmed our hands up with some theraputty before using our fingers and paintbrushes to make marks in sand and glitter and writing key words or sentences. Look at the fantastic results! ๐

We visited the den today, and it was an incredibly immersive experience for our children with additional needs. We're also using @CBickfordSmith's 'The Fox and the Star', in the DSP and I've written a sensory story script for our children to fully access it. It's been a hit! ๐ฆโญ๏ธ

Can't wait to take the DSP to experience this tomorrow. Today we did a sensory story version of the book and my class loved it. We got so much language and engagement from the children, so can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. ๐ฆโญ๏ธ
