We did that! My history class organized & hosted the Hoops 4 Hope Basketball Tournament to raise funds for the Invisible Children Organization! ❤️ seeing kids plan and put on an event. Thanks you for all who participated and helped!

Has me thinking about the curriculum I’m required to teach. Are black/African-Americans/Africans represented? (Rarely) When included are they depicted as marginalized, exploited, culturally irrelevant? (Often). We got to #ChangeTheNarrative if we want ALL students to achieve!
