American voters are choosing their 47th President today and three of my amazing S3 Modern Studies pupils wanted to share their swing state predictions: Arizona, Georgia and Nevada. They recently completed the unit of 🇺🇸 so proud of them 1/2
Last week our Modern Studies pupils (S4 - S6) attended the FMQs & met with our MSP. Our Nationals took part in a Q&A session whilst participating in active learning. Many thanks to @uartlach for meeting us & @EducationSP for helping us organise our @newbattlehigh visit.
So proud of my Adv Higher Modstars who delivered a great lesson for the Highers on the economic & political impact of crime - we had a starter, colour coded essay structure, peer marking essays a super fun quiz! A great end to the week - well done to everyone 🌟 #peerteaching
My S3s are currently studying about the 🇺🇸 and they wrote an essay in class about gun control & the Second Amendment. Great arguments with #examples evaluation of #alternative views. Very proud ⭐️

Earlier this month we welcomed three inspiring Malawians & the @ScotlandMalawi Youth & Schools Lead. They delivered an engaging session & the discussion about health/gender inequalities was strong & heartfelt. They praised our #Modstars for their Qs & some of their essays 1/2
Hannah (S5): 'As part of the course we study development issues in Africa. The visit from the @ScotlandMalawi helped our learning. It helped us better understand the issues so we can develop our analysis it also provided us with real life examples to develop our essays' 2/2
