The world hates a confident human who speaks of their own greatness, why? Are there players more talented than him? Yes more than just 2/3. Greatness by definition is a rare intersection of peak dominance , longevity , talent application and impact . The only area Messi beats Cr7 is talent application. Cr7 has dominated in 3 european leagues showing the same consistency yet all those leagues demand different qualities, the other never dared to leave his comfort zone once , He once retired from his national team at the age of 28 because it dint give him the enviroment Barca gave him for years . We shall not discuss impact am sure this is obvious, there are more argentine kids doing the cr7 iconic celebration yet Messi might be their favorite.
