This week, @canalplusgroupe announced its continued partnership with the PSL by committing to extend the rights partnership. In an iconic moment at MultiChoice City, Dr Khoza took a moment to express his support of the milestone, and commended CANAL on embarking on this journey.

“CANAL has chosen South Africa. They have chosen the PSL. And in doing so, they have bet on the growth and resilience of football on this continent. I believe they have bet wisely.”

His words follow the extension of the partnership between the National Soccer League and SuperSport for the rights to broadcast the PSL. The agreement now marks the longest sport partnership that CANAL holds. This affirms the shared commitment to unlocking opportunities in South Africa through sport, and delivering world-class sport coverage across Africa.

Storytelling takes passion, talent, sacrifice, and thousands of people working behind the scenes to bring powerful moments to life. This Africa Month, we celebrate the power of African stories and the creators who bring them to the world. In collaboration with Partners Against Piracy, the talented cohort from the MultiChoice Talent Factory used their creativity to shine a light on the real impact of piracy - from lost opportunities in the creative industry to the risks it poses to consumers. Featuring Teko Modise, Pabi Cooper, and Nelisiwe Sibiya, this powerful campaign reminds us that every legal view helps protect the future of African storytelling, sport, film, television, and entertainment. Support what you love, protect the creative community, and say no to piracy.

This Africa Month, we're celebrating the coming together of this continent. Celebrating our one-ness, our diversity, our culture and the richness of our stories. We celebrate and recognise that Africa is, because of her people. From the bustling streets of Mombasa to the peaks of Kilimanjaro. From the depths of the Masai Mara to the depth of Cape Town. And as we celebrate today, let us celebrate our stories and the people who bring them together Happy Africa Day.

Local content has grown in leaps and bounds over the years. Today, it does more than just entertain - it connects people. In the latest episode of MultiTalks, Shirley shares how reality TV not only brings something to look forward to but also brings something that people can connect with. "It brings connection with either your family if you watch as a family and also connection as a people as a culture in whatever format that might come. So sometimes you laugh, sometimes you cry and sometimes you learn something and sometimes you introspect," Shirley said. You can watch the full episode here: tinyurl.com/3a6h2jys

Another class has officially graduated 🎓🎬   The MTF East Africa Graduation marks the moment our storytellers step into a new chapter, one where they are encouraged to reach for the stars and create the stories they want to see exist in the world.   Throughout the MTF programme, they’ve been shaped by industry voices, alumni, and partners who continue to inspire and guide the next generation of African filmmakers. Today, that journey takes a new turn as they move from learning to doing, and we could not be prouder.   To the MTF East Africa Class of 2025, this is your moment! The screen is yours, the stories are yours, and the world is waiting to see hear your voices.   Keep reaching for the stars… and beyond✨   #MTFGraduation #MTFEastAfrica
