The Syrian Interior Ministry said Internal Security Forces arrested 20 people following attacks on checkpoints and security facilities in and around the village of Al-Awniya, in the Kobane area east of Aleppo.
The ministry said security have been restored to the area, while operations continue to locate and apprehend other suspects who remain at large.
Syrian security forces came under attack in the Kobani province on Tuesday. A group described as remnants of PKK-linked SDF forces targeted security vehicles near Ashma village in eastern Aleppo countryside.
According to reports, three suspects were arrested, while around 15 others fled toward Kobani and were pursued.
