🕊️ Fair Winds, Charlie… It is with immense sadness that the Multihulls World team learned of the passing of Charlie Dalin, who died on June 11, 2026, at the age of 42. A naval architect by training, the Norman skipper leaves behind the image of an exceptionally gifted sailor, universally respected for his talent, humility, and dedication. Beyond the champion, it is the man himself who inspired admiration. Following his victory in the 2024-2025 Vendée Globe, Charlie revealed that he had been battling a gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). Despite his illness, he found the physical and mental strength to win the world's most demanding solo round-the-world race. Today, the maritime world has lost one of its finest figures.  The entire editorial team of Multihulls World extends its deepest condolences to his wife Perrine, to their son Oscar, to his family, friends, loved ones, and to all those who accompanied him throughout his remarkable career.

🌅 Palm Pleasure 2: A Transatlantic Crossing Aboard a Day Charter Catamaran! - Episode #6 "Tuesday, May 19. I didn’t make this voyage for the adventure alone. If I agreed to set off on another crossing, a second time, it was above all to spend time with my father. The sea is his native language. I grew up with it without ever really choosing it myself - born on an island, always with one foot on a boat thanks to him. I love it too, of course, but for him, it’s something else entirely. When he talks about sailing, the stars, the wind, and his thousand-and-one sailor stories, there is something different in his eyes." ➡️ hubs.la/Q04kRYKz0

🌊 FEATURE | Multihull Architecture and Design: 70 Years of Innovation! As early as the 1960s, naval architects and builders broke free from the single-hull sailboat model to create catamarans and trimarans. This major innovation revolutionized offshore racing, and indeed, the entire world of recreational boating. We invite you to revisit the history that led us to our modern multihulls. An opportunity to (re)discover these models, (re)read our reviews, and of course, (re)watch our videos! ➡️ Discover our full feature, available individually in issue #207 or with a subscription to Multihulls World 🗞️: hubs.la/Q04jSQDM0

Palm Pleasure 2: A Transatlantic Crossing Aboard a Day Charter Catamaran! - Episode #5 "Saturday, May 16 Over the past few days, sargassum seaweed has started to appear. At first, there were only a few isolated brown patches, but gradually the brown algae began forming long chains across the surface of the water. Since the dolphins at the beginning of our crossing, we haven’t seen any more marine mammals, much to my disappointment. I must admit that I still keep scanning the horizon whenever I step onto the deck, with the slightly naïve hope of spotting a whale in the distance." ➡️ Continue reading here: hubs.la/Q04hCnNs0
