What a good hackathon that we participated and learned alot
The School of Computing and Mathematics held the award ceremony for students who participated in the CUK Google-sponsored Machine Learning Hackathon.
Speaking during the event, DVC ACDRI, @Prof_IKNyamongo, commended the participants, urging them to continue inventing and bettering their already existing ideas. He also noted the efforts of the project PI, Prof. Simon M. Karume, Adjunct Professor of IT @CoopVarsityKE, assuring his support towards future hackathons and activities related to the same.
The Hackathon, which took place on 20th February 2026, saw a number of students collaborate and showcase their skills in using tech to solve a number of real-world issues.
