Our Imhof & Mukle orchestrion from 1899 is a true work of art, powered by the same small electrical motor it was born with. The manufacturer, based in Germany’s Black Forest region, made some of the most prized (and expensive) mechanical instruments of the era.

Yesterday we attended the funeral of our long time friend and a beloved tour guide Roy Huddlestone who passed away just before Christmas. He was a great ambassador for the Museum and had 319 five-star reviews on TripAdvisor! musicalmuseum.co.uk/coming-s…
Roy’s family put up photos and pictures of his former life around the room for his retirement party and put together a show reel video of his life achievements, this is how we found out so much about him. It was a great day.
Yesterday, the same video was used during his funeral and it reminded us of the party and how lovely it had been to celebrate Roy’s life and achievements while he was still with us. We miss him greatly but it was fantastic to be a small part of his very interesting life story.
How exciting! We are a clue in today’s @nytimes crossword puzzle! The clue for a ten letter word reads: Cylinders like the 20,000 housed in London’s Musical Museum. Do you know the answer?
