Mission: Visionary 2050 – Take Off! 🚀
The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) has officially launched the first cohort of the Visionary Programme, a pioneering initiative designed to equip emerging leaders with the skills and insight to drive positive change across society.
From over 100 applications, 32 participants were selected to join the inaugural programme, representing a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise from across the UK — including Belfast, Cardiff, Glasgow, and towns and cities throughout England.
The induction session began with an interactive Human Bingo activity before participants received an overview of the MCB’s mission and the Visionary model outlining the programme’s purpose, approach, and objectives.
We were delighted to welcome Deputy Secretary General Maswood Ahmed (
@MaswoodAhm32148), who shared valuable insights into the MCB’s work, vision, and ongoing efforts to strengthen British Muslim communities.
💫 The day also featured breakout sessions:
•The Public Affairs group, led by
@LotifaBegum and
@Abdualla Alamun and explored campaign strategies, beginning with the policing campaign.
•The Digital Communications group, facilitated by Dr Wajid Akhter and Hanan Fischer, brainstormed approaches to effectively deliver campaign messages across digital platforms.
The session concluded with Hasan Salim Patel offering a thought-provoking reflection on innovative communication in today’s rapidly changing environment.
The MCB looks forward to working closely with this talented group of emerging leaders as part of its commitment to nurturing changemakers and shaping a shared vision for the future — Vision 2050. 🌍✨
A heartfelt thank you to our supporters —
