18 Months Later: What You Helped Us Build
A GoFundMe page was created by Caden’s fraternity brothers at Theta Chi, just days after we lost him. At a time when our world was shattered, they—and all of you—lifted us up in ways we’ll never forget. You raised $48,000 for our family, providing the support we so desperately needed during those early, unbearable days.
That outpouring of love didn’t just carry us emotionally—it helped spark something bigger. With a portion of those funds, we launched The Caden Ingram Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to honoring Caden’s life by supporting students and raising awareness about the dangers of counterfeit pills.
Since then, the Foundation has raised over $82,000 on its own, and in 2025, we proudly awarded $44,000 in scholarships to students who reflect Caden’s dedication to academics, his athletic drive, and, above all, his spirit.
We’ve also:
• Stood with other families at National Naloxone Day in Washington, D.C. (and we’ll be back again this year)
• Held our first event, honoring Caden and raising awareness
Spreading Awareness
We have spoken to students at Florida State University and the University of Tennessee, sharing Caden’s story to educate others about the growing threat of counterfeit pills and synthetic drugs. More campuses across the Southeast are next.
Building Community
From the Race to Save Lives and our CycleBar fundraiser, to our sold-out 1st Annual Golf Tournament this June, CIF continues to bring people together for a greater purpose. Whether you donated, attended, reposted, or kept us in your thoughts, we felt it. And it made a difference.
What’s Next
Our next major event is coming up on June 21—our 1st Annual Golf Tournament, which sold out in record time. It’s more than just a fundraiser—it’s a reflection of the love people have for Caden and the community that continues to rally around his memory.
We’re going to keep telling his story—so others can learn from it, be protected by it, and be inspired by the life he lived.
Thank you for being with us from the beginning.
This is just the start.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Ed, Megan, Declan & Keegan
