The @oppstartsathome campaign released a new fact sheet describing the essential connection between access to affordable housing and recovery for individuals with substance use disorders and/or mental health conditions. More affordable housing and investments in supportive housing models that place people in housing without requiring abstinence or treatment are necessary to promote long-term recovery from substance use disorders.

Congratulations to SACOG and Mutual Housing CA on completing the first phase of the San Juan Apartment Complex. This development, in partnership with SHRA, will provide valuable affordable housing units to many constituents along the Stockton Blvd. Corridor.
Thank you also goes out to HealthNet for stepping up with 3 million dollars toward this project! Phase 2 will begin in six months and add 70 units of affordable housing for seniors.
