The current shaming of the food industry in the media over 'price gouging' at the moment is ridiculous. It is not nuanced at all. The return in food is so small and the inputs are so high, and getting higher. If any journalist wants to have an honest conversation around our food industry, from farm to fork then DM me. How can we pretend to care about the price of food and its profit when we spend obscene amount on designer smart phones, sunglasses and clothes which are sometimes marked up at 1000%.
