🚀 We are pleased to announce the availability of MySQL HeatWave 9.6.0. This release brings innovations for faster analytics, simpler AI workflows, and more flexible lakehouse loading. - MySQL HeatWave analytics: support for GROUPING SETS modifier lets specify multiple groupings of data in a single query, avoiding the need to do a UNION ALL across multiple queries. - Auto materialized views now let the optimizer automatically rewrite parts of queries to use existing materialized views for performance that can be orders of magnitude faster. - HeatWave AutoML and GenAI: The 'NL2ML' routine adds a new 'skip_generate' parameter so you can skip response generation and return only citations. This is ideal for integrating with external LLMs or MCP servers. - HeatWave Lakehouse: Support for nested data types (lists, maps, nested structures) in Parquet data. HeatWave loads such columns as flattened JSON. - A `VALIDATE ONLY` option when loading data (via `ALTER TABLE ... SECONDARY_LOAD`) validates data without loading any data. You can choose to validate all rows or a specified number of rows. -> See the Release Notes to learn more about the new features in MySQL HeatWave 9.6.0: social.ora.cl/6011hBBGz -> See the documentation: social.ora.cl/6014hBBGO -> Try MySQL HeatWave: social.ora.cl/6018hBBGr
