Big shoutout to everyone that competed tonight in NMS boxing.
It takes huge balls to enter the ring in front of that many people. The fights tonight were incredible. Ggs.
I love this team, I think they make brilliant games that feel amazing. But if they made another arena shooter / aren't experimenting with game modes in a meaningful manner then I'm going to be really dissapointed.
To further elaborate on this, I think there's a new trend in shooters that's sticking where players want to feel like one match has an impact on the next in some way shape or form. That doesn't mean you need to be an extraction shooter to succeed as a new IP but I do think even a game like "WARDOGS" is taking a formula that previously worked and adding a layer of match to match progression that I think will pay off for them when the game releases. Player driven narrative is becoming a bigger part of why we play shooters. Creating memories and stories that you wanna tell your friends the next time you see them. This can only be done when you have systems in place that push the players experience further than just win or lose.
Woke up today and felt like writing an essay. lol.
fell asleep last night thinking about how I didn't nearly use tag pressure enough during the tourney yesterday
