In the latest episode of Mythic Mind Games, I am joined by @spaceportorange, @MicahJonesBooks, and @jgtraylor9513 to discuss the iconic Final Fantasy VII (original).
This has been one of my favorite games for nearly 30 years, so I thoroughly enjoyed this discussion!

As a longtime FF7 fan, I can't say enough about how pleased I am with Rebirth so far.
The highs and lows of the original are even higher and lower in the best ways.
I just finished Escape from Taris, the KOTOR fan film.
It may not have a Disney budget, but it more than makes up for that with great love for the source material.
Honestly, I enjoyed this far more than any of the sequel movies. I highly recommend it!

I have come to a conclusion regarding FF7 Rebirth.
As a completionist, it pains me to say that I need to start skipping most of the sides and make myself stick to the story if I hope to finish it.
At this point in life, I just don’t have countless hours for questing.

People can do whatever they want, of course, but I would VERY strongly recommend playing the original first.
Remake would be half of an experience without it.

I really enjoyed Final Fantasy VII Remake, but Rebirth is a time grabber on an entirely new level.
The nearly endless side quests in the first region are giving me Hinterlands vibes, except that, to a dangerous degree, I'm not getting tired of it.
