I received my first shot of COVID-19 vaccine! In order for us to protect each other, we have to be vaccinated. Me being vaccinated means I protect not only myself, I protect my community, and I protect my family!

The army is there at the communities' request and at the request of the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health organisations that are fighting hard to protect those communities and make sure that COVID-19 doesn't spread any further.
๐น Torres Strait Islander author Thomas Mayer shares a message about rumors of the army going into Aboriginal communities mistreating and forcing people to get vaccinated.
"This is absolutely untrue. The army is there at the communities' request because they need that support."
