Congratulations to Dr Laurence Upfold who has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Laurie joined our organisation in 1960 serving in several roles until 1989. Congratulations Laurie!

The audiogram is a poor predictor of everyday experiences of listening. Even people with normal hearing can benefit from the use of hearing aids, particularly in noisy environments.
