Imagine having to wear one of these suits to work every day. These are designed to protect to people cleaning up hazardous nuclear waste. Bulky, claustrophobic and they steam up easily! Robots can take #HumansOutOfHarm #NCNR #NuclearRobots #SmartRobots

Each of our 10 partner universities run a range of outreach programmes for children, so do look at their websites and they always welcome emailed inquiries directly #TwinklTeach
So many interesting robotic facts in our #Twinklteach with @UKRobotics

The future sits in the next generation's hands to show us what they need. Once washing machines and iPhones seemed inconceivable and now it's inconceivable to live without them #TwinklTeach

Robotics technology is also going to become more and more common in our daily lives - whether at work, at home, or in public spaces - and it's important that students have the opportunity to learn about what the future holds #TwinklTeach

Not only dangerous jobs but also repetitive and physically demanding roles can be done with humans controlling robots in a nice safe environment - perhaps while drinking a cup of tea 😀 #TwinklTeach
Robotics is also important to enable us to pass on those dangerous jobs to a machine that can do the work instead #TwinklTeach

Robotics is important because it allows us to safely explore new extreme environments without risk to human life and expand human knowledge in ways we could not previously have imagined #TwinklTeach

We are currently developing novel sensors to discover the world and create immersive model 3D representations that people can interact with #TwinklTeach
Good effort. 👍How about some sensors to make sure your robot doesn’t disappear off the edge - a mistake I have made several times so far! Still getting used to the App!#TwinklTeach

We definitely agree and are working on ways to make humans and robots work together safely and efficiently making jobs more fun! #TwinklTeach

I think the next generation will play a significant role in embracing robotic technologies and of course developing them as well #TwinklTeach
The @NCNRobotics focuses on the actual use of robotics in the real world. We work on taking humans out of dangerous environments. #TwinklTeach
Although this is a very fun competition, it's important to show children the role that robotics plays in the world today and in the future! #TwinklTeach
