NCPC, Sri Lanka in collaboration with Centre for beach clean up, Round Table Sri Lanka and UK Aid organized a beach clean-up in Wellawatta beach on January 7.
Together (60 volunteers) we were able to collect, sort and dispose 220 kg of marine litter.

Together we were able to collect, sort and dispose 207 kg of marine litter from 500m beach stretch.

NCPC, Sri Lanka organized another beach clean-up activity to commemorate International Coastal Clean up day which falls on September 17th. The beach clean-up was collaborated by Centre for beach clean up and Parley Sri Lanka as a part of EU Switch Asia funded PROMISE project.

This beach clean up activity involved 98 volunteers. Together we were able to collect, sort and dispose 354 kg of marine litter from the Crow Island beach, Mattakuliya.
