A tie game late into the third period, New Canaan defeats Fairfield Prep 3-1 to win the Division I CIAC Boys Ice Hockey State Championship tonight at Quinnipiac. After finishing as runner-up in its last ten state finals appearances, including in 2024 and 2025, the Rams win their first boys hockey state since 1972.
