Thanks to the Klau Institute for hosting the book launch! If "In Our Interest" shaped how you think about migration, or you simply found some useful evidence in it, the single best thing you can do is leave a review on Amazon. It really helps academic books find their readers.
We celebrated a book launch on Monday for “In Our Interest: How Democracies Can Make Immigration Popular,” written by Alexander Kustov, an associate professor of migration in @KeoughGlobalND and a core faculty affiliate of the Klau Institute. 🧵 (1/2)

Notre Dame Law School hosted its second annual Death Penalty Abolition Week from Monday, March 23 to Friday, March 27, 2026. Organized by @NDLawEJC, with @NDHumRts and the Institute for Social Concerns serving as co-sponsors, the week was made possible through a generous donation from Syl Schieber ’72 M.A., ’74 Ph.D., and Vicki Schieber. Through a series of powerful conversations and firsthand accounts, Death Penalty Abolition Week sought to raise awareness of the tragic miscarriages of justice caused by wrongful convictions, affirm the sanctity of human life, and advocate for the abolition of the death penalty in the United States. Featured speakers included the Honorable Bob Morris, Indiana Representative; Erin Barnhart ‘05 J.D., a federal public defender, with Elwood Jones, an Ohio death row exoneree; Anthony Ray Hinton, a death row exoneree and author of "The Sun Does Shine"; and Sarah Craft, interim director of the Indiana Abolition Coalition, with Donna Schneweis, director of the Kansas Coalition Against the Death Penalty.
