Today at NEARCON 2026, NEAR AI introduced two major products—IronClaw and the Confidential GPU Marketplace—alongside new multimodal and privacy capabilities. This is the stack—confidential by design, verifiable at runtime—for building the AI economy without compromise 🧵

When access to advanced AI systems can change overnight, privacy and user ownership become core requirements, not a nice-to-haves. "As AI moves from answering questions to taking actions, the privacy of the inference layer stops being a preference and becomes a requirement. You cannot build a resilient agentic economy on infrastructure that requires you to trust the provider. NEAR AI is that infrastructure." - @ilblackdragon
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Using AI shouldn’t require giving up privacy. NEAR AI now automatically detects and anonymizes sensitive information before it leaves your device. You can use popular frontier models without handing them passwords, API keys, and other sensitive info.

Sal Ternullo on Near's role in the Venice private AI stack: "Venice sits almost like middleware with a consumer front end, users can select different trust assumptions and privacy levels for how they interact with AI." "Near's private inference is one of the underlying providers, the greatest degree of cryptographic verification over which AI models users are actually touching." "Confirmation that those models are running inside TEEs. More B2B integrations of Near private inference are coming. This is just the beginning of the architecture."

Everyone is building AI agents. Few are testing how they fail. Join NEAR AI, @getfailsafe, and AWS in SF to see how AttackBench changes that. 👇
Creating AI agents is one thing. Deploying them in production is a different frontier entirely. Join @getfailsafe, @near_ai, and AWS on June 4th for an evening focused on the security, reliability, infrastructure, and trust requirements for enterprise agentic systems.

3M Venice users already expect privacy. NEAR AI provides it through confidential inference. Now $VVV trades confidentiality on near.com.
$VVV is now live on NEAR Intents and near.com. @near_ai is also providing private inference to @AskVenice. Swap into $VVV and stay confidential today on NEAR.

“AI is national defense.” Once inference becomes a sovereignty issue, confidential and verifiable AI infrastructure stops being optional. NEAR AI is building the strategic infrastructure for user-owned AI.

New on NEAR AI: automatic PII anonymization. Paste whatever you want into Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini; your real passwords, API keys, and emails never leave your machine. One header turns it on. 🧵

On top of that, we already ship TEE based encryption that makes your prompts cryptographically invisible to Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini, even to the cloud provider itself. Not a policy. Not a promise. Proof.

"The insecure edge pieces will be run in sandboxes, and trusted with the minimum authority they need to do their job. The secure core will administer everything." - @VitalikButerin This is the foundational principle behind IronClaw.
Many people have claimed that with AI-assisted bug finding, secure code (and hence trustless anything) will be impossible. I have a much more optimistic take, and AI-assisted formal verification is a major part of the reason why: vitalik.eth.limo/general/202…
