The UK Court of Appeal’s decision to uphold the government’s proscription of Palestine Action recognized what NGO Monitor has long documented: Palestine Action’s campaign is built on causing damage, sabotage, intimidation, and extremist rhetoric. 🧵 >> x.com/JudiciaryUK/status/206…
The full judgment and press summary in Home Secretary -v- Huda Ammori can now be read on the judicial website: judiciary.uk/judgments/home-…

In 2025, Palestine Action activists broke into a UK airbase and damaged military planes at a critical time for Western security and defense. This kind of action is straight out of the “Underground Manual” they published, encouraging and giving step-by-step instructions on how people can take illegal actions and evade the law. >>

The Court of Appeal’s ruling is a necessary recognition of the reality: Palestine Action is not “peaceful political protest”. Read NGO Monitor’s research: ngo-monitor.org/ngos/palesti…

Is a 🇺🇸-sanctioned NGO, designated as a terrorist organization by 🇮🇱, attempting to use 🇧🇪’s registration system to circumvent scrutiny? NGO Monitor has traced a four-year effort by the PFLP-linked Al-Haq to establish itself in Europe in the shadow of sanctions imposed by both Israel and the United States. Here's how it happened:

The rebrand did not create a clear separation between the organizations. EU transparency records continued to identify Rights Matter as Al-Haq Europe, while European Parliament events in 2026 featured representatives identified as "Al Haq - Rights Matter." x.com/EP_HumanRights/status/…

This case may point to a broader phenomenon. Despite U.S. sanctions and an Israeli terror designation, the Al-Haq network appears to have maintained a European presence through rebranding, organizational restructuring, and overlapping leadership networks. Are other designated organizations doing the same? European regulators, donors, and policymakers should pay closer attention. Our research: ngo-monitor.org/reports/circ…

Had the honor of sharing a new @NGOmonitor report with friends in Canada's parliament, @MelissaLantsman and @shuvmajumdar. The report exposed how Canadian taxpayers dollars are being diverted to Hamas through NGOs and official aid programs. Shockingly, many MPs and parliamentary staffers were unaware of the extent of the problem. That is exactly why these conversations matter. Democratic accountability depends on access to information, especially when public funds may be supporting organizations linked to extremism and violence. At the same time, Canada is experiencing the highest levels of antisemitism in its modern history. Jewish communities across the country have faced an unprecedented wave of intimidation, harassment, violence, and hate since October 7. When taxpayer-funded aid programs lack proper oversight and transparency, Canadians have every right to ask whether public money is helping empower actors that contribute to radicalization, incitement, and the spread of extremist narratives. Canadians deserve: 𝟏. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 They have the right to know how much of their tax dollars are allocated to NGOs - and exactly which organizations receive those funds. 𝟐. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 The government owes Canadians a clear accounting of what has been achieved with public money, who benefited from it, and whether appropriate safeguards were in place. 𝟑. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 Parliament must have the information necessary to effectively scrutinize government programs, ask difficult questions, and ensure that public funds are not diverted to organizations linked to terrorism, extremism, or hate. Humanitarian policy cannot run on good intentions and weak oversight. When taxpayer dollars enter territory controlled by terrorists, process is not enough. Accountability must be real. Thank you to MP Melissa Lantsman, Olga Deutsch, and NGO Monitor for an important discussion on restoring scrutiny to Canadian aid.

Israel's Ministry of Diaspora Affairs released a report Thursday documenting individuals with ties to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad employed by major international aid organizations, raising serious questions about vetting procedures at humanitarian groups operating in Gaza. The report profiles three individuals: Adham Abu Salmiya, director of marketing at the UK-based Al-Khair Foundation's Turkey branch, who maintained a documented relationship with a senior Hamas financier and published a public eulogy praising him as a martyr; Hossam Mansour, described by Al-Khair as a "senior aid worker" but identified by the IDF as a Hamas platoon commander; and Fadi al-Wadiya, a physiotherapist for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) who the Palestinian Islamic Jihad confirmed held a deputy leadership role in their military manufacturing unit. "International NGOs perform little or no oversight," said Professor Gerald Steinberg of NGO-Monitor. "This highlights the responsibility of NGOs to ensure they can no longer be used as cover for terror groups."
