This placemat idea was a big topic of discussion in groups at destreaming meeting today. We wondered about cross curricular potential of common question words. The example in this post is a good starting point! @WhiteRoomRadio @michmaniscalco @MrBBeard
Trying to make it easier for my GCSE classes to support themselves... not used a 'literacy mat' for a while but I'm hoping this might help my students.... thanks for the inspiration (a long time ago) @MrGGalloway @MissdeBechi #GeographyTeacher

Teaching a unit on the Tundra? This is a great polar bear tracker site. Choose a bear to track or follow them all. Engaging for students, helps to introduce ideas of conservation or impact of climate change on environment. polarbearsinternational.org/… #geographyteacher #gcsegeography

For #CGW4U climate change conversations consider looking at this doc re National Inuit Climate Change Strategy- focuses on climate change priorities & provides examples of Inuit-driven climate initiatives @ITK_CanadaInuit itk.ca/wp-content/uploads/20…

This visualization of differentiated assessment is a great tool for a positive conversation on destreamed courses and what student success can look like. #CGC1
Successful PD today @StFXSOS. Lots of strategies for flexible, differentiated assessment. Grades can be uniquely formulated - doesn’t have to look the same for each student. Moving away from a “one-size-fits-all” approach. More formative assessment and feedback. Perfect for MTH1W
