The Princess of Wales is the epitome of grace and decorum. If each member of Britain’s society were judged on the her attributes many would fall spectacularly short.

A&E waiting rooms turning into treatment cubicles and overnight stay facilities- only without adequate equipment. Equipment & tech could turn what feels like a survival challenge into a care environment… Have some ideas, could use some collaborators… anyone else?👇🏻

Living with a loved one who works in policing can be tough. Our families face daily challenges that we don’t always see and it’s vital we thank them, for all they do. We’re here to help police forces across the UK acknowledge the vital support of families and loved ones 🎬👇

Unacceptable. If you’ve made it to the waiting area of A&E you should be confident, from arrival, that you’re in safe hands. From the door.
Mother, 39, collapsed under her coat and died after seven-hour wait at crowded A&E lbc.co.uk/news/mother-found-…

Exceptionally proud, so many sacrifices in public service, but watching him make a difference, in situations most will hopefully never experience, is a privilege (even during dinner tonight) 💙 congratulations Shaun, here’s to another 8 years
On this day 27 years ago, I proudly joined policing as a police officer with @LincsPolice So lucky to have worked across 9 forces in total, a seconded role in government & 2 LRF Celebrating tonight with my ever-patient partner over a meal out, fashionably on call 8 more to go

During their careers, each police officer is likely to encounter between 400 to 600 traumatic events. Most citizens will experience between three or four in their lifetime. policeoracle.com/news/HR_per…

Congratulations to my daughter Madison who has achieved a First Class Degree in Biomedical Science with Honours - Despite A-levels in pandemic, first year at uni locked in away from home. Exceptionally proud of her achievement and the resilience that got her there ⭐️🎓

So the conference I arrived to was as fake as the agenda and presentation I’d been sent with… (Sneaky colleagues and daughters with excellent mis-direction skills). Here’s to our next adventure Mr W !🥂 💍 ❤️ 🍾

A lot of NHS commentary suffers from "Battle of Britain Syndrome". It assumes that what matters for success is purely the heroic efforts of the front-line staff...

Most of this content will be repeated. Could be infinitely more effective with digital admission/EPR Intuitive too, imagine tissue viability score necessitates specialist nurse team review…. and it’s allocated to their diary automatically…💡 #technology #efficiency
This photo is amazing. Here are the forms that nursing teams need to fill out for each patient on admission. Ask Joe Public what they want their nurses doing and it defo won’t be this! NUTS

🧵What pushed me over the edge in the NHS today: A v unwell pt needed an urgent echo today. I chased the report at 4pm and realised it hadn’t been done. A colleague asked the cardiology consultant if he wouldn’t mind doing it and he said he would if I got the machine from CCU

For those who don't fully understand what is up with the NHS, here is a thread for you that might help. I'm a consultant physician working as a doctor in the NHS in Yorkshire and Wales for 32 years now. I have experienced the NHS at its best (2008) and its worst (2022).

“I’ve lost count how often I'm told how poor ward level IT is and about crashes and log-in times” Imagine IT system upgrades are challenging. Would love to support the Trust in question, can we support your digital leaders and as a consequence- process effectiveness @Agilisys
I reminded myself; a lorry driver can only drive for nine hours in a day and has to rest for eleven hours… myemail.constantcontact.com/…

Well articulated debate and worth 30mins listen. I wonder how those working for the “health” of populations feel about leading transformation to secure the future of the NHS. Are we thinking radically enough? Is continual demand hampering much required innovation?
Should the NHS be scrapped in favour of a European-style insurance model? ⁦⁦@MelanieLatest⁩ makes the case. Alexander Menden is unconvinced. ⁦⁦@so_says_sally⁩ is against. Fascinating podcast with ⁦@ellen_hallidayovercast.fm/ HNtrsN43M

… inefficient use of valuable resources or “why GPs don’t have any time”👇🏻(there will be many, many other examples I’m sure)
Replying to @NHSStrategist
Then GP is asked to re-refer as it has been documented as a DNA despite the patient telling them they did not receive a letter and so they have been discharged back to GP. Huge waste of time and distresses the patient.
The NHS made two appointments for me, I attended neither because the letter did not arrive until after the appointment. The response - “we are seeing a lot of this because.. mail strikes”. Maybe time to stop wasting valuable resources and start using different communication? 💡

“Unable to send email or phone as this is not the process”. “Not a decision we have control over”. “Comes from above”. #Unacceptable waste of public resources.
