It was criticised by the Chief Scientific Adviser.
Its members wanted masks and restrictions brought back after the pandemic ended, called for the UK to adopt China’s zero covid policy, pushed for school closures, and likened a child catching Covid to child abuse.
She was calling for people to wear masks as recently as December 2025.
