Hey there #NLPNewbie friends! We're taking off this week, but we'll we back next week — at a new, more international-friendly time. We'll give you updates soon! In the mean time, have an excellent #NLP-filled week!
A2: I'd want to make sure the corpus contained slang and other terms in common usage that might not be in the dictionary. Nothing worse than trying to text in your own voice and having your phone say, "I don't think so!". #NLPNewbie
A1: No super funny stories of wild auto corrects, but, I do wrestle with it a lot if I’m ‘sweet’ talking my husband. It dislikes syrupy ‘baby’ talk more than the average person! 🤣 #NLPNewbie
A1: I can't think of any great catches by my autocorrect, although I am sure there have been many. That's the thing, when technology works great, you barely notice how helpful it actually is. #NLPNewbie#Ungratefuluser
How does this work? As with #CodeNewbie, we'll be posting questions beginning with Q1: and you can answer with A1. Be sure to include the #NLPNewbie hashtag in your answers so we see them.
While we are not affiliated with #CodeNewbie, we love what that community has brought to our lives and we want to expand on the idea with #NLPNewbie where code newbies with a love of linguistics, languages and tech can explore natural language processing together.
