No club has ever been relegated from the Football League the season following their promotion since it was introduced in 1986.
With Scunthorpe and Oldham currently in the relegation zone, is it time we had a three up-three down model?
Here are some further findings…
Maidstone United (@maidstoneunited) have scored 76.5% (13) of their league goals this season in the second half of games, more than any other team in the National League and the 3rd highest in the top five divisions behind Accrington Stanley (92.9%) and West Ham United (77.8%)
Torquay United’s 35 yellow cards in 13 league games this season is the 3rd highest in the top five divisions behind only Sunderland (40) and Forest Green Rovers (37).
An average of one every 33 minutes. What’s more impressive is that none of those players received a 2nd yellow!
⚽️ | FACT
This is the first time in the history of the National League/Conference that no team has a 100% record after two games.
63 different teams have won both of their opening games in the 44 seasons with @Dag_RedFC doing it the most on seven occasions.

Today’s game against King’s Lynn Town will see @altrinchamfc go level with Northwich Victoria for the most top flight non-league games played since the formation of the APL in 1979
