Poetry is Normal is cancelled for this evening so as not to conflict with the Leah Marlene concert. The poets slated for today's event will instead read in the fall.
The Normal Public Library will be closed from 6-8 pm on Thursday, May 12 and from 9 am-1 pm on Friday, May 13 so our staff may attend visitation and funeral services for a longtime NPL staff member.

Decoupage Candle take and make kits for adults are now available at our front service desk!. With this kit, you will receive supplies and instructions to make a beautiful patterned candle. One kit per person, please.

The Romance Me Book Club will meet for the first time 2/24 at 6:30 pm, masked and in-person! Pick up your copy of our first pick, The Proposal, at our first-floor service desk!
In November 2021, 10,880 people came through our doors. We registered 153 new patrons for library cards, and 51,935 items were checked out. Public computers were used 669 times. All in one month. #LibrariesAreEssential
