Yeah, thatโs bad. Itโs a flagrant defined by the language in the rulebook.
It shouldnโt matter if youโre Victor Wembanyama or if youโre Jeremy Sochan.
Pretty clear the league wants to avoid a doomsday scenario later in this series from their POV, which shouldnโt be the case.

My 36-year run at the Sun-Sentinel is over. Laid off for the first time since I lost my job as an ice-rink skate guard at 17. Cost-cutting move then, they said, too. I'm a month from 65, so please keep any sympathy for my newspaper friends who didnโt make it to the finish line like I have. Iโm looking forward to doing some things I want to do so before the hall narrows and the light dims so you might not be completely done with me yet. Thanks to everyone who made it such a fun run.

FHSAA board votes 10-0 to approve the Open Division for the 2026-27 school year. The eight highest ranked teams will be pulled into that division for football, basketball, soccer, girls volleyball, baseball, softball, lacrosse and girls flag football.

"If this is the precedent, then I owe it to my players to bring in people from Las Vegas to teach us how to gamble," an aghast Big 12 coach told ESPN on Monday. "Then collectively, we need to decide which games we will play hard in [to cover the spread] and which ones we won't.
"I'm supposed to do what's best for my players, and in that case they would be able to make a lot of money betting on our games," he continued. "That's the precedent for me."

Imagine being one of the Cyclones or Hawkeyes with far less egregious wagering who were never able to play NCAA football again.
Breaking: A judge in district court in Lubbock County, Texas, has granted the injunction requested by Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby. Heโs set to be eligible for the 2026 season.
Sorsby cannot play in Texas Tech's first two games, which was the penalty his legal team suggested to the NCAA.
