Day 5 at the World Cup ended on a superb match between NZ and Iran, and started with one of the smallest nations holding the favorites. In between Lukaku earned a draw for Belgium, and Ugarte almost scored. Really. Day 6 brings a few old faves.

Seattle Police have set up a “Designated Protest Zone,” a small—I mean, really tiny—part of Occidental outside Lumen Field for the World Cup matches here.
Belgian fans are taking their pictures at it.

Classic Spain. Every time they fail in the World Cup, they fail like this: pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass. Loads of shots but almost all of them very low xG. One against the bar was 0.53, rest not great.
He did some weird things, not least changing formations for the opening game, but could help that his keeper chucked three in and one of his defenders felt sorry for Viktor Gyokeres
🚨🇹🇳 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 | After the 5-1 loss to Sweden, Sabri Lamouchi has been SACKED by Tunisia, reports @Romain_Molina! 👋❌
It's the FIRST managerial sacking of the 2026 World Cup. 😳
Daily is up late today because *I didn't turn the mic on* and figured not many of you are lipreaders
Amad scores last minute winner, Germany party poopers, Japan/Netherlands excellent, Sweden smash Tunisia

Cheers RM. Few things to note here. Articles mentioning a saving from RA going to Milan are referencing the £15.9mn provision #MUFC stated in their 2Q26 results. The 3Q26 results actually reported a higher exceptional cost of £16.7mn (a cost they believe, due to contracts, they are certain to pay).
There could be a clause where if RA got hired within say a 12 month settlement period, United don't have to pay RA and his staff the remainder of the payout (if they're paid the same or more at Milan), or they cover the difference between their Milan and United salaries.
There would be savings under both, but would be lower under second scenario (which is probably the most likely). But, imo, it would be United paying less to RA and staff rather than Milan compensating United.
Hi mate, not the best of sources, but it says Utd will save £10m. Do you reckon Milan will pay that amount to Utd as they are effectively getting him whilst still on Utd's payroll?
