Infantino changed our beloved game, and we simply allowed him to. Curaçao could have altered its trajectory today. Instead, we cut to a 'hydration break' when they were on top, and they ended up losing all momentum. And we? We simply rolled over and accepted this butchering of our game by a simpering snake. Shame on us.

@RedMarrow_ remember that left back who wasn’t good enough for United and was then lauded by hipsters on here when he went to Madrid. What’s the latest on him?

Carrick understood this. He curated a structure that could get the best out of Casemiro. He chose to adapt to the situation rather than insist on his own way. As a result, we saw the best version of Casemiro at 33, who in turn helped us secure Top 3. Not many managers get this.
Casemiro: slow, immobile, not press resistant, can’t turn, can’t pass, no technical ability. It’s been a good 15 years but it’s time to go.

Great shout regarding Matheus Fernandes. I'd take him. My personal pick is Bouaddi

"starting midfield aged 21 and 22 whose greatest qualities are their technical ability" After all those years of Fellaini, McFred, Amrabat, Ugarte, this brings tears to my eyes 😭
United could go into next season with a starting midfield aged 21 and 22 whose greatest qualities are their technical ability. PSG have set the bar in midfield and it's a standard and style other clubs are now aiming for #mufc manchestereveningnews.co.uk/…

Early days, but Pochettino might be the best coach of the tournament.

How is it exclusive if the entire world already knows about it?
🚨💣 EXCL | Mateus Fernandes is now one of the priority targets for Manchester United. ManUtd are aware of his personal terms and do not expect any issues on that front should a transfer agreement with West Ham be reached. #MUFC ManUtd are preparing an offer, but nothing has been submitted to West Ham so far. @SkySportDE 🇵🇹

Great analysis as usual by the best in business @thePoS_007. Refinancing was always going to happen as the Glazers still have majority ownership. But by and large, United have done a more than decent job in minimizing the risk considering the current financial climate. What I am surprised by are the comments and quotes, though. Were people expecting we wouldn't have to pay more interest in 2026 than in 2015 when the 3.79% rate was finalised? An extra £10m annual cost is pretty reasonable considering the economy and potential stadium financing deals. Let's wait for more details instead of jumping the gun.
Initial high level thoughts. Big accomplishment for #MUFC to get through their near term debt burden. Another milestone completed for the financial and operational rebuild. The net increase in debt (by $125mn) will of course be a concern to many fans. But essentially, United's actions over the last few years (including the mistakes) has bought them the access to cash and time to focus on continuing the rebuild. Overall good deal and broadly in-line with my expectations. Interest rates were effectively zero when the $425mn debt was issued. So interest rate increase of just 1.57% is, in my view, reflective of the financial model being implemented and potentially bigger prize of stadium financing deal in the future. United's other $225mn term loan is also extended to 2031 (with the new $550mn facility). Gives some headspace for operational focus. Extra $125mn/ £100mn will boost cash coffers and mean United have even more flexibility to do deals. Would not expect them to change transfer plans as a result. Maintaining the financial discipline still important long term. Incremental $13mn annual interest cost (c.£10mn) will continue to be a minor hindrance to football earnings rule for UEFA competitions.

🚨 BREAKING #MUFC refinance $425mn Glazer debt due in 2027 through new $550mn loan due 2031. Interest rate 5.36% (1.57% higher than the 3.79% 2027 notes) on terms similar to existing debt being refinanced. Will likely be an incremental £13.4mn incremental annual interest cost for the club. New $550mn loan will be used to prepay the existing $425mn loan and for other general corporate purposes. otp.tools.investis.com/clien…

Water break...cut straight to commercials (which was the real reason for it to begin with). Football was unique because once the game started, it was non-stop action for the next 45 minutes. They found a way to ruin it too.

FIFA World Cup host bombing a fellow FIFA World Cup participant on the day the FIFA World Cup begins is very on-brand from the FIFA Peace Prize winner.
JUST IN - Trump says the U.S. will hit Iran "VERY HARD TONIGHT," and that "at some point in the not too distant future," the U.S. will take Iran's "Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets."

Never wanted a player more since I heard his name 30 minutes ago
Calling Sangare all-action barely begins to cover it. The only Ligue 1 player in 2025/26 with: 50 shots (26th in Ligue 1) and 50 tackles (2nd). Throw in 40 interceptions (11th) for good measure. And he missed a month of the season cause of AFCON. #MUFC
