AGRG had a whirlwind summer of fieldwork! From collecting coastal, river and forestry data to investigating water damage from rains in West Hants, it was non-stop action. They wrapped up work on the kelp project, a multi-year collaboration with @smartestkitchen and the @cna_news.
AGRG has studied faulted rocks from the Permian age off Cape John for years, even publishing in GeoScience Canada. They reconstructed how these ancient rocks shifted over time. Ocean currents have kept them clean, revealing a clear picture of Earth's history.
Our geomatics research lidar team is gearing up to take flight over Sable Island. They'll be capturing topo lidar data and orthophotos to explore and map this unique landscape. Stay tuned for more updates from the skies!
