The sitting also reviewed measures to counter hate speech, enhance community-based early warning systems and support a peaceful and secure environment as the country prepares for next year's General Election.

With CS Hon. @kipmurkomen, we convened a review meeting with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to assess the state of preparedness for the 2027 General Elections. The engagement focused on evaluating existing frameworks, identifying potential gaps and strengthening coordination mechanisms to ensure a credible, secure and efficient electoral process. Present were colleague PS Dr. Belio Kipsang (Immigration and Citizen Services); Inspector General (IG) of Police Douglas Kanja; Deputy Inspectors General (DIG) Gilbert Masengeli (APS) and and Eliud Lagat (KPS); alongside other senior security officers.
