✅ This is the result of my data analysis on the specific play-styles teams employ in the PL this season! Plenty of interesting talking points up for discussion off this 🤔 If you are interested in my methodology for this study, check out the link in the follow-up tweet 👇

Love Nicolas Jackson man. Favourite CF genre for sure. Lots of channel runs, link up, dribbling, creative actions.

I don’t get why Olise is dropping in to pick up the ball from the CB’s in DM zones. Not only is Dembele much more suited to doing that skillset-wise, but also Olise being the one doing that means Koundé is essentially the RW in possession, far from ideal.

I pray we actually see Dembele at 10 with Olise RW and not the other way around. Insane dynamic.

That said, it’s pretty bait that in order to make a deep run, Deschamps will have to revert to a flat midfield 3 and drop one of the forwards (likely Doue)

Was asleep during the game but it’s funny to see how ppl are all hyping up Diomande after saying he is not all that for the last month. He is a superstar talent and there’s a reason PSG and Liverpool want to pay €100m for him. Sometimes it’s not more complicated than that.

19 years old with that level of creation/progression/dribbling numbers is absurd. I’ve seen ppl be concerned about his shot volume which is fine, but it’s not abnormal for a guy to have a singular flaw at 19. Even then, he still scores goals and his xG/shot is high.

Felt like this for a while: I think Kai Havertz is quietly peaking. Injuries have been tough on him, but ever since his switch to CF in 2024 he’s put up close to world class numbers and has improved his overall play so much. I can’t wait to see what he will do next season.

🚨 Arsenal exploring deal to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. 24yo left-sided winger expected to be gettable for ~€40m. Move for Greece international does not impact #AFC interest in Morgan Rogers or other options to strengthen attack @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7355040…

Liverpool cooked the market more I think about it tbh. Only reason Caicedo went as high as he did was because Liverpool bid like 110 out of nowhere. 130 for Isak, 115 for wirtz. Recent times the way they’ve inflated the market is crazy
To consider a sale of Anderson, Nottingham Forest want the fixed fee to eclipse the £125M British record Liverpool paid Newcastle for Alexander Isak last summer. [via @David_Ornstein]

The fact that the boys managed to not only come back stronger from that but also elevate to a whole new level shows incredible resilience (and also what adding a couple of top quality players can do to a team 🙂)

Class time at the parade but I had some really dark thoughts in my head after the 57th “what do you think of tottenham” chant started

For all the Spurs fans in the quotes, this has nothing to do with you btw. The reason this happens is that attention seeking people (likely more casual fans) like to start this specific chant cause they get to lead it while everyone chants back in response.
