Why I love #shmups reason no.216: Shmups respect your time. No faffing in menus, no half hour explanation before you get to do anything, no landscape traversal that requires literally no skill; no padding, no fetching, no "captain exposition". Just get in your ship and go.

2026 is flooded with new shmup releases, ports and new games alike, huh! How cool is that!? While at it, check out Brave Rounds! I calibrated the Normal mode to be Arcade-hard. It has slightly more bite than Touhou's Hard modes.

Raiden Fighters Collection should be out now on #NintendoSwitch Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with it running about 10% too fast due to some cock up with the framerate in the port vs the originals. Hopefully can be fixed but a shame for a collection like this.

In two days, Baroque Shooting: Reversed is coming on steam worldwide. This game is an enhanced re-release of the 2000 PC game, set in the same universe as the saturn roguelike Baroque! Very excited for this one
