Thanks to the hard work of the local team at Lytes Cary Manor in Somerset, vulnerable and protected shrill carder bees have a place to thrive.
Planting a mixture of wildflowers from seed will act as a source of nectar and pollen for foraging worker bees.

We're aiming to open many of our gardens and parks for free during this difficult time, so the nation can use open spaces to relax and refresh, while following the government’s social distancing guidance. We will be closing our houses, cafés and shops this week.

Found this stunning pyrite Ammonite today after my fossil walk... it had been missed by loads of people and was sat there waiting for me! This species is called 'Echioceras' it's approximately 195 million years old and is very common at Charmouth! #theboyfromthecoast

Yellow warnings for wind and rain across the SW today and tomorrow. Amber warning for rain over Dartmoor. Gales are expected with gusts of 50-60mph, possibly 70mph in exposed areas, with periods of heavy rain and hill fog. Very poor driving conditions. @BBCCornwall @BBCDevon

Stunning achievement this, by @Ultra_Damo, setting a new winter record (21hr 30mins) on the Paddy Buckley round (47 summits & 100km of running around very lumpy parts of Wales). Can't wait to hear this story & more when Damian comes to #SWOF in Sept: nationaltrust.org.uk/SWOF
