Last July 19, NUSP-ST, together with KPL-ST, filed the Five-Point Student Demands of Southern Tagalog at the Central Office of the Commission on Higher Education, Diliman, Quezon City.

The Student Demands tackles the following: 1) Protection and Promotion of Democratic Rights, 2) Protect Students Rights and Enhance Student Welfare, 3) Defend Academic Freedom, 4) Autonomy of the Student Institutions, and 5) a Nationalist, Scientific, and Mass-Oriented Education.

NUSP-ST is committed in ensuring that these demands will be answered to by CHED and all the responsible agencies or institutions. We will continue these lobbying efforts to various LGUs and HEIs to ensure that students rights and welfare will be protected in Southern Tagalog.
