This will take place at Pinkbox Doughnuts Centennial located at 7530 Oso Blanca Rd. Las Vegas. 10% of every purchase goes back to our Special Olympic athletes. MEMORIAL DAY DUI BLITZ Patrol and Traffic officers from all LVMPD area commands and Henderson Police Department, Las Vegas City Marshals, Nye County SO Deputies, Nevada State Police Troopers, phlebotomists, ID, technicians, and dispatchers joined together to keep you safe on the roads. Our weekend DUI Blitz was conducted and achieved the following results: 398 Citations 79 DUI Arrests 8 Other Arrests 2 Recovered Firearm 92 Towed Vehicles A reminder: we are towing vehicles and taking drivers off the road who are putting others at risk. Driving is a privilege, not a right. There are too many safe options, never drive impaired!

Congratulations to the graduates of the Highway Patrol Division’s Advanced Academy 106. Upon completing the Department’s basic academy, these troopers continued on to specialized Highway Patrol training — earning the campaign hat and officially joining the proud tradition of the Nevada Highway Patrol. The Governor’s 2026 Employee Recognition Ceremony was held this week at the Capitol, recognizing employees from departments across the state who were nominated for their outstanding service and dedication to Nevada. Among those recognized were members of our department, including dispatcher Andrea Lara (accepted on her behalf by supervisor Dorshae) for her outstanding leadership, calm under pressure and commitment to keeping both the public and first responders connected and safe. Trooper Kaminski and his partner, K9 Duke, were also recognized for their dedication to public safety and their work removing illegal drugs from Nevada’s roadways and communities. This dynamic duo ranked fifth nationwide in criminal interdiction and received an invitation to the National Interdiction Conference — representing the Great State of Nevada and the continued commitment to keeping our communities safe. Congratulations to all recipients recognized during this year’s ceremony and thank you to state employees across Nevada for your continued service and dedication to our communities.

Today around 3:45pm, at the location of Azure Bridge over the I-11. A State Trooper with the Nevada Highway Patrol was able to escort some geese and their goslings(babies), off the roadway safely. A Clark County School District Police officer K-9 unit also assisted this Trooper with putting these geese into a cage to transport safely to Floyd Lamb Park. Both the Geese and Goslings were released at the Park without further danger or any injuries.
