Thank you to staff at @DavidWilsonHome who gave up their lunch break this week to litter pick footpaths and verges near their offices in Coalville. They managed to fill 45 bags with rubbish weighing an incredible 200kgs. Well done and thank you to everyone who took part.

Enforcement Officers from our Environmental Protection Team are out this morning carrying out patrols in the Coalville area in relation to littering. Please help to keep our district clean and dispose of your litter correctly or you could face a fine of up to £2,500.

North West Leicestershire District Council are cracking down on environmental crime by increasing fines. • Fly-tipping fines have increased from £400 to £600. • Littering fines have increased from £150 to £225. • Graffitiing and Flyposting have increased from £150 to £225.
